NOD audit data collection and reporting schedule

Cataract Audit

Audit Year 10: 01 April 2025 - 31 March 2026 (cataract operations performed during this period)

  • Data to be received by NOD in June/July 2026
  • For centres using the Medisoft/mediSIGHT EMR, data submission will take place during summer 2026  and data should be submitted by TBC. Please note that your data will be extracted securely by Medisoft and then transferred to the NOD statistical team for analysis. Locally no action is needed. The extraction activity is conducted remotely, and Medisoft will not make contact directly to confirm extract readiness, or extract completion.
  • For centres using the OpenEyes EMR, please liaise with your IT department or relevant personnel to arrange for the extraction, and transfer of data to NOD via the audit website by TBC.
  • For centres using the Epic system, please liaise with the relevant person to arrange for the data extraction, and transfer of data to NOD via the audit website by TBC.
  • For centres using a non-EMR system, transfer of data to NOD is via the audit website by TBC.
  • Annual report expected to be published in May 2027

Audit Year 9: 01 April 2024 – 31 March 2025 (cataract operations performed during this period)

  • Data received by NOD in June/July 2025
  • Annual report expected to be published in May 2026

Audit Year 8: 01 April 2023 - 31 March 2024 (cataract operations performed during this period)

Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD) Audit

Audit Year 5: 01 April 2024 – 31 March 2025 (AMD treatment performed during this period) with follow up data up to the date of extraction due to continuous assessment and treatment

  • Data to be received by NOD in June/July 2026
  • For centres using the Medisoft/mediSIGHT EMR, data submission will take place during summer 2026  and data should be submitted by TBC.
